Wall Mural 2018
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The office of Indyk Architects is based in an old bakery in Begg lane Paddington. The building itself is free standing offering terrific potential for the progression of a mural artwork. The facade of the office entrance door addresses the adjacent street of Ormond Street leading to Oxford St. This was where the graphic commenced and then wrapped around the building and its inner palm tree courtyard.
The colours, with artistic licence, were inspired from the colours of the palm tree trunk and fronds.
The graphic was initially painted by Claudia Damichi as an artwork and then its progression around the building was CAD drafted and then interpreted onto the walls and painted by Paintsmiths and Claudia Damichi.
The mural work was shortlisted in the Dulux Colour Awards 2018.
